Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MCAG Technologies LLC ("MCAG", "we", "us") is a Florida limited liability company (Sunbiz Document No. L26000291870) with its registered office at 7901 4TH ST N, STE 300, ST. PETERSBURG, FL. US 33702. We operate the website mcagtech.com and InspectIQ, an inspection report platform for licensed Florida home inspectors.

2. Scope and our role

This policy explains how we handle personal information through mcagtech.com and InspectIQ (together, the "Services").

  • Inspectors. For the account, contact and billing information of inspectors who use InspectIQ, MCAG decides how that information is handled.
  • Inspectors' clients. Inspectors upload information about their own clients and properties to InspectIQ. We process that information on behalf of the inspector, to provide the Services to the inspector. The inspector is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and to share it with us. If you are an inspector's client, please contact your inspector first; we will assist the inspector in responding to your request.

3. Information we handle

  • Inspector account and contact data: name, business name, email address and login data. Login credentials are managed by AWS Cognito.
  • Billing data: subscription plan and payment status. Payments are processed by Stripe; payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe.
  • Inspection data: property addresses, photos, findings and report content that inspectors enter or upload.
  • Inspectors' client data: names and contact details of inspectors' clients that inspectors upload.
  • Basic technical logs: such as IP address, browser or device type, the pages or features requested, timestamps and error information, generated when you use the Services.
  • Communications: the content of emails and messages you send us.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate and maintain InspectIQ, including creating inspections and generating reports;
  • when it becomes available, generate and review report drafts with AI-assisted drafting (beta, not yet generally available) (see section 5);
  • create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
  • process subscriptions and payments;
  • respond to requests and communicate with you about the Services, including service and billing notices;
  • keep the Services secure, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

5. AI-assisted drafting

InspectIQ is developing AI-assisted drafting (beta, not yet generally available). When it becomes available, inspection data entered or uploaded by the inspector, such as findings, photos and property details, will be processed to generate and review report drafts. The inspector reviews and approves every report before it is finalized.

  • No production customer data is currently sent to third-party AI providers.
  • Before these features launch, we will update this policy and name any AI provider that will receive customer data.
  • Data processed for AI-assisted drafting will not be sold.

6. This website

mcagtech.com does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies of its own. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes basic request information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve and protect the site.

The InspectIQ page embeds a demo video from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When the video player loads or plays, YouTube (Google) may receive information such as your IP address and browser details, under Google's own privacy policy.

7. Service providers and sharing

We use the following service providers (processors) to run the Services:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting and infrastructure for InspectIQ.
  • Google Cloud: hosting and infrastructure, used temporarily until our migration to AWS completes.
  • Cloudflare: delivery and protection of the mcagtech.com website.
  • Stripe: subscription billing and payment processing.

These providers process personal information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us. We do not sell personal data. We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, MCAG or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

8. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:

  • Tenant isolation: InspectIQ is a multi-tenant platform, and each inspector's data is isolated at the database level with row-level security.
  • Access control: access to accounts and data is restricted to authenticated, authorized users.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. MCAG does not currently hold third-party security or compliance certifications.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep account and inspection data for as long as the account is active. When an account is closed, or after we receive a verified deletion request, we delete the account data within 30 days.

We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records) or where it is needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Basic technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email legal@mcagtech.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If your information was uploaded by an inspector, we may refer your request to that inspector or assist the inspector in responding.

11. Data breach notification

If we determine that a breach of security has affected personal information, we will act consistently with the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014 (section 501.171, Florida Statutes). This includes notifying affected individuals as expeditiously as practicable and no later than 30 days after determining that a breach occurred, unless a delay is authorized by law; notifying the Florida Department of Legal Affairs when required; and, where we hold information on behalf of an inspector, notifying that inspector without unreasonable delay and no later than 10 days after determining the breach.

12. Children

The Services are designed for licensed professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact legal@mcagtech.com and we will delete it.

13. International users

InspectIQ is designed for licensed home inspectors in Florida, United States. MCAG is a United States company. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice, such as by email to account holders, before it takes effect.
